SoLo Funds Blog
Practical guides, tips, and honest insights to help you borrow smarter.
Our Editorial Approach to Blog Content
The blog exists to provide deeper analysis than the main review pages can. Where the main pages answer common questions in one or two paragraphs, blog posts explore edge cases, common misconceptions, and the strategies real users have developed to navigate the platform successfully.
Every blog post goes through the same editorial process. We identify a question users are actually asking based on search trends, Reddit discussions, and support inquiries. We research primary sources — platform documentation, CFPB filings, user forum discussions. We draft the article focusing on practical utility rather than marketing spin. Finally, we review for accuracy and clarity before publishing.
What Topics the Blog Covers
The current focus areas include score-building strategies (how to raise your SoLo Score, what damages it, realistic timelines), safety analysis (regulatory oversight, data privacy, real risks), borrowing tactics for specific situations (bad credit, gig workers, emergency scenarios), and lender-side content (how to evaluate borrowers, manage risk, and set realistic return expectations).
Topics we deliberately avoid: get-rich-quick lending schemes that promise unrealistic returns, questionable score-hacking techniques that violate platform terms, and one-size-fits-all recommendations that ignore individual user situations.
Publication Frequency and Updates
New blog posts are published as substantial new topics emerge — typically monthly rather than weekly. We prefer publishing fewer high-quality posts than filling the blog with shallow content.
Existing posts are reviewed and updated quarterly. When platform terms change, regulatory situations shift, or user experience feedback reveals important gaps, we update the relevant post rather than publishing a new one. Every post shows its last-updated date so readers know how current the information is.
