Calculate Your Real SoLo Funds Cost
Move the sliders below to see exactly what your loan will cost — including tips, fast-funding fees, and effective APR. See funding-time estimates based on your tip percentage.
How this calculator works: All calculations use SoLo Funds' published fee structure — 1.99% fast-funding fee, 10% (min $5) late fee, and voluntary tips up to 15%. The "you save vs payday loan" comparison assumes a typical 20% payday loan fee for the equivalent amount and repayment period. Funding-time estimates are based on aggregated user reports from Reddit, Trustpilot, and app store reviews. Actual times vary based on your SoLo Score and marketplace activity.

How SoLo Funds Costs Work
Unlike traditional lenders that charge mandatory interest, SoLo Funds uses a community model where you choose what to pay. Here's how each cost element breaks down:
This goes directly to the community member who funds your loan. Higher tips get funded faster and more reliably. A 10% tip is generally considered standard.
This supports SoLo Funds' operations and mission. It's optional, but setting it above 0% can improve your chances of being funded.
Pay this fixed fee to receive funds in ~20 minutes via instant transfer. Without it, standard ACH takes 1–3 business days at no charge.
Charged if you miss your repayment date. Avoid this by only borrowing what you can repay and setting your due date correctly.
Calculator Tips
For best funding odds, set your tip to 8–12% and donation to 3–5%. A $0 tip is allowed but may result in your request sitting unfunded.
Traditional payday loans charge 300–400%+ mandatory APR. Even with a 15% tip, SoLo's effective rate competes favorably for borrowers who repay on time.
New users can only borrow $50–$100 on their first request. Your limit grows as you build your SoLo Score with on-time repayments.
SoLo Funds loans are short-term only — maximum 35 days. Don't borrow more than you can realistically repay within that window.
Effective APR Comparison — Short-Term Borrowing Options
Annualized cost of common short-term borrowing options. Shorter loans have naturally higher APRs — context matters more than the number.
APR calculated for 14-day repayment period. Actual APR varies based on loan term and fees. Credit card cash advances also carry $10 flat fee not included above.
